The Great Coming Together Father we come boldly and humbly to the Throne Room by the Blood of Christ, lead us and guide us by the Holy Spirit in praying for the church around the world, and the church in every city, and praying for all members in the body of Christ, and praying for unity. "For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?" (1Co 3:3 AV) "But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin. Go to now, [ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you]." (Jas 4:16-5:1 AV) "And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest." (Lu 22:24 AV) Father no longer allow divisions, no longer allow hate, no longer allow bitterness, no longer allow envy, strife, and no longer allow schisms in the body of Christ, heal all divisions and wounds, fill us with burning holy love for the Lord, and for one another, wash us with the Blood of Christ and burning love and the fire of God, let love be reborn in our hearts and in our city church. "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire: Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." (Mt 3:11-12 AV) "I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!" (Lu 12:49-50 AV) "For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt [is] good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another." (Mr 9:49-50 AV) Father, we know your word says we believers will be one, so by faith, we prophesy, believing there will come a day in history that will be called the great coming together, when we will come to together to enter into unity, we will come together to enter into oneness, and we will never again be apart from one another, instead we will love one another, in the city church in every city around the world. In every generation, and in every time, let there be a great coming together for worship, for prayer, for revival and for unity in Christ. In every nation, and in every city let there be a great coming together for mercy, for compassion, for vision, for revival, for worship, for prayer and for unity in Christ. Father throughout the history of the Church you have done all divine scattering throughout the world, for we were not ready or mature for unity and oneness that you want and plan for. "But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (Heb 3:17-4:1 AV) But soon we will enter into the restoration of unity that comes through waves of unity and love throughout the church around the world. "Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God [did] from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief." (Heb 4:7-11 AV) "Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you." (Mr 11:23 NRSV) "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." (1Jo 5:14-15 AV) "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, [then] have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment." (1Jo 3:21-23 AV) "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another." (Joh 15:16-17 AV) "And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad." (Joh 11:51-52 AV) Father we thank you for these times of divine scattering, these were times for increase, times for blessings, times for maturity, times of teachings and training, times have molding, and times of understanding, however those were only times, not life, not God's mature will for the church, someday soon the times of the Great coming together will come, these are the times of His mature will for the church. "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished." (Da 12:7 AV) "Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:" (Eph 1:9-10 AV) If the times of divine scattering were blessed, how much more shall times of divine gatherings be? They're more fruits, more revival, more blessings, more maturity, more teaching, more increase, and more molding, however, these times we do together, we mature together, we are molded together, we increase together, and we are blessed together. "For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." (Heb 4:8-9 AV) "And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;" (Da 9:4 AV) "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (1Co 2:9 AV) "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it]. If ye love me, keep my commandments." (Joh 14:14-15 AV) "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete." (Joh 16:24 NRSV) "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (Joh 15:11-13 AV) "These things I command you, that ye love one another." (Joh 15:17 AV) Are these times of divine coming together of one Christian faith group? No! We know they are not, Father, but of many members, many believers, and many banners that come together in city church unity and revival unity. Father we praise you for the unity in diversity throughout the church around the world, we praise you for Christ's oneness throughout the church around the world. We are one people with many camps around the Tabernacle of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are not two people, instead we are one people, and we are many camps, but one church in Christ. "You shall make fifty clasps of gold, and join the curtains to one another with the clasps, so that the tabernacle may be one whole." (Ex 26:6 NRSV) "And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are]." (Joh 17:11 AV) "The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." (Joh 17:22-23 NRSV) Father we pray bring forth this kind of unity today, in our time, in our generation, in our life, and let this unity from our time grow and mature unto mature unity, the unity of the faith. Father we pray for real unity, real oneness, real love, and we pray for wholeness, in the church in every city, every region, every nation, and around the world. We speak grace, grace, in the name of our Lord. We pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. Elvis Iverson Pastor Elvis Iverson lives in Omaha, NE USA.
