Pressing for Unity

Father we come boldly and humbly to your Throne Room, asking you to
lead us through the intercession of Christ and the intercession of the Holy
Spirit. Lead us to pray prayers for unity and prayers for the body of
Christ. We pray for revival for every believer, and we pray for the
restoration of the revival life, and we pray for revival for the church and
revival for every city and every nation around the world.

Father we pray for unity among all believers in Christ, we pray unity
within each congregation, and unity within each Christian group, that there
will be unity and liberty in Christ.

"The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach
the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach
deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he closed the book, and he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat
down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on
him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in
your ears." (Lu 4:18-21 AV)

"that we should be holy and without blame before him in love...That in the
dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all
things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even]
in him:" (Eph 1:4b, 10 av)

Father we pray for unity in the Christian home, for the church begins at
home, we pray for unity, healing and salvation in all Christian homes.

Father we pray for unity between each Christian, and we pray for unity
between each Christian from other groups in Christ.

Father we pray for unity of the city church in every city, we pray for
city church unity.

Father we pray for unity of the regional church in every region, and we
pray for regional church unity.

Father we pray for the unity of the national church in every nation, we
pray for national church unity.

Father we pray for the unity of the global church, and we pray for
global church unity.

Father as we take baby steps toward unity of the church; lead us by the
Holy Spirit, and the Lordship of Christ. As we take the first steps of
faith, let our faith be added to. Add to our faith, virtue, add to virtue
knowledge, and add to knowledge self-control, add to self-control
perseverance, add to perseverance godliness, add to godliness brotherly
kindness, add to brotherly kindness love. These are the steps toward unity.
If we don't lack these steps, we will not be shortsighted, and we will not
be blind, and our calling and election will be sure, and we will not
stumble, and entrance to an open door will be supplied to us abundantly into
the everlasting kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to
virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience;
and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to
brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they
make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2Pe 1:5-8 AV)

Father we pray for grace and knowledge to grow in unity and grow in
Christ, let grace and peace *be* multiplied to all believers, and increase
in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, we pray for divine power, the
life of the Spirit, godliness, knowledge, glory, virtue, and divine nature
to come to all believers.

Father we forgive every person in the church, every Christian in Christ,
every pastor, etc. in Christ, and we forgive all, we are ready to move on
toward unity and relationship with the Lord and with one another, we are
ready to forgive and put the past under the Blood of Christ and move forth
in love toward the Lord and one another.

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even
as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." (Eph 4:32 AV)

Father we are reaching forward to unity, love, and oneness, these things
are now, and also things that are ahead.

"Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I
follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended
of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but
[this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and
reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark
for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Php 3:12-14 AV)

We press toward the unity of the Faith, we press toward city church
unity, we press toward the community of unity, and we pray press toward
oneness with Christ and one another.

"Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son
of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ:" (Eph 4:13 AV)

We press toward unity by faith, grace and patience, in prayer and
good deeds, in seeking and praying, loving, and having fellowship in
Christ.

We press toward these things that Christ has already apprehended from
His Father, and through the Holy Spirit we can have them too.

However, as we press forward, and press toward, we will remember the
Lord, that it is His doing, that it is His work, and we will remain humble,
giving Christ all the glory and honor for these things that He already
apprehended from His Father and through the Holy Spirit we can have them
too.

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to
him that believeth." (Mr 9:23 AV)

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not
with God: for with God all things are possible." (Mr 10:27 AV)

"And he said, Abba, Father, all things [are] possible unto thee; take away
this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt." (Mr
14:36 AV)

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
[that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." (Joh 16:13 AV)

"[Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth
him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and
shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." (Joh
14:17-18 AV)

Father we pray for unity and oneness of the Church around the world.

"And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one,
even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect
in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved
them, as thou hast loved me." (Joh 17:22-23 AV)

We pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
