"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." (Mt 6:9 AV)

Heavenly Father, hallowed be your name, in all who claim your name as one in the body of Christ. Unite us as one, all hallowed, which is to say, all "made holy", together in the love and holiness Christ gives us all to live and walk in, together as one in the name of Jesus.

Your name, Father, which is hallowed by and in your Son, Jesus, is consecrated, purified, made free from guilt, dedicated and sanctified for your use. Your name is made holy and set apart from sin, from flesh, and from worldliness, as your name is declared to us all through everything Jesus did in life, death, and in life again, eternally in power, in you.

Father, we pray the leading of your Holy Spirit be given to those Christian individuals, and those Christian faith groups that are now confused over the holiness that is in your name. You hear, Lord, the great public debate that rages loud all around on this subject, both in the media and in various areas of the body of Christ, over the recent years.

Lord, some of us Christians have lost the way of holiness we once all knew and agreed together in, just a few decades ago, knowing all together that homosexual acts are surely sin, as clearly stated in your word. Instead, some of us Christians have become confused, have forgotten, or are simply mistaken, omitting the repentance and righteous living that each person, who is in your name, is called to walk in, and not to walk in the flesh.

Lord, we don't ask you to show them the holiness in our names, neither as individuals nor as Christian faith groups, because only your name makes any of us holy. We don't ask you to show them the holiness in our words, neither as individuals nor as Christian faith groups, for only your word sanctifies and sets us all apart from sin, for your word says this in truth:

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (Joh 17:17 AV)

We pray Father, together in the name of Jesus, that you show our dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, though they are confused, forgetful, and mistaken, show them just what is the truth on these matters that is in your name and in your word, not ours, for these are your words given to us all to know through the words of the Bible:

"Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers-none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." (1Co 6:9-11 NRSV)

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." (1Co 6:9-11 AV)

Such were some of us, sweet Father, so we forgive them completely, as you forgive us, and as we pray together your forgiveness for us all. We pray for all your ever-increasing blessings on those faithful bishops and Christian leaders, in all Christian faith groups, who work to guide your flock back to the truth of holiness in Jesus, leading all who may have strayed away to now return to the truth of repentance that Jesus always taught as key to the good news of forgiveness of sins in His name, as your word says:

"Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news."" (Mr 1:14-15 NRSV)

"Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mr 1:14-15 AV)

This is our prayer together in the love, holiness, and forgiveness in the name of Jesus. Amen.
